Two and a Half Men scribes Chuck Lorre and Lee Aronsohn wrote tonight's juicy whodunit. Fans familiar with Lorre's rsum — which includes stints writing for difficult divas Roseanne Barr (
Roseanne), Brett Butler (
Grace Under Fire) and Cybill Shepherd (
Cybill) — will understand why he chose to focus the hour on the murder of a demanding sitcom star (Katey Sagal). The acid-tongued actress is killed while filming an episode of her show in Las Vegas. The investigation reveals plenty of suspects, including her husband, the actress who is her stand-in and, not surprisingly, the show's entire staff of writers. My bet is on a scribe. —
