The beauty walked the red carpet arm-in-arm with the film's producer Lee Daniels. She talked with reporters about the project: "This is something very close to my heart. I just feel like everything happens for a reason. Some people come into our lives and we take a chance – someone like him."
The film is about two brothers who go on a journey from New Mexico to Tennesse to find their estranged father. They meet Krystal (Carey) along the way. "She’s trying to figure out who she is and what she has to say to the world," Mariah tells us.
