Channel: Home Decor Living

Turn your backyard an oasis with the Yin & Yang collection by Kenneth Cobonpue. These pieces are sure to bring a sense of Zen living to your home. The intricate weaving of the frame can be seen in sofa, dinning table, and ottoman versions as well. Thinking about going green with your furniture? The chair is made out of Hularo, a polyethylene that enables complete residue-free recycling, on a powder-coated steel frame.

The steel frame is wrapped in Hularo rope so the piece appears to be all one material. Talk about quality furniture! The powder-coated steel frame makes these pieces rustproof and the special Sunbrella fabric on the cushions make them virtually weather-proof and resistant to fading. These pieces will definitely have your neighbors talking.

Modern Rocking Chair and Love Seat by Scott Wilson
By: Freshome    1 days 23 hours 37 minutes ago
Channel: Home Decor Living

These two pieces, the rocking chair, and the love seat are designed by Scott Wilson and they are from its new line of sofas and chairs called Purity. The designs are characterized by highly pronounced curves. Their structure is made of steel so that adds strength and durability and are also covered with a mesh of polyurethane. Finally these pieces look very modern, to bad they are just concepts for now …and one thing that I could add is that the rocking chair would definitely need arm rests, rockers really need arm rests. - Via

Phi-ton Bed : Floating Without a Sub-frame
By: Freshome    2 days 1 hours 7 minutes ago
Channel: Home Decor Living

Designed by Fried-Jan Unger and awarded by Good Design Award The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd - Phi-ton is a bed in a new dimension: floating without a sub-frame, in a perfect symbiosis of design, luxury and health. No sub-frame, no free accessible moving parts, no possibility of jamming, no danger of hurting oneself. The advanced patented technology is invisibly incorporated. The Phi-ton bed has a self- correcting steering unit controlling the movements of all segments.

Whether set up in its basic horizontal position or in one of the almost unlimited variety of other positions: Phi-ton Bed always distinguishes itself with its floating design. Using the optional vibra-massage will further enhance this unique experience into what can only be termed the ultimate in comfort and relaxation.

The Phi-ton 3D-mattress, another proprietary Phi-ton development, is like the bed: different from all others. Made from highly functional 3D braided fabric, it enables a combination of all requirements that make for a real comfort mattress: optimum pressure distribution, unsurpassed ventilation and hygiene and high durability. And, it is 100% recyclable.

iFreeze - the Brrrr! Iceberg Chair
By: Freshome    2 days 2 hours 11 minutes ago
Channel: Home Decor Living

The iFreezechair was inspired by icebergs - those giant ice blocks with sharp craggy edges floating in the ocean. The shape of the chair is asymmetrical especially when viewed from certain angles. The edges of the chair are not rounded at all but angled every which way just like icebergs. However the seat and the cushions have softer edges. The chair arm rests even lights up. Nice.

Thai designer, Jitrin Jintaprecha used a luxury fabric called Pasaya in soothing natural colorsas the upholstery as well as the cushion material. ELLE Decoration Thailand picked the iFreeze as one of 2005 Hot One Hundred. The iFreeze as an icebergsymbolis all the more relevant today as our world faces global warming issues with melting Arctic ice shelves and break-away icebergs.
