City of Ember

The City of Ember is the last surviving underground city that has flourished in the dark due its self-containment and glittering lights powered by an ancient hydro-electric generator. But as the energy source weakens and threatens to fail, two teenagers named Lina and Doon (played by Saoirse Ronan and Harry Treadaway) try to find a way out, discovering more about the city.s secrets in the process. Based on the novel by Jeanne Duprau, this adventurous fantasy also stars Bill Murray as the city mayor, Tim Robbins, and Martin Landau. Tom Hanks. production company is making the film, out Oct. 10.
