With a rebellious teenaged daughter pushing her to her limits and an estranged husband asking to come back home, Adrienne Willis (played by Diane Lane) leaves her hometown for a small Northern Carolina coastal town called Rodanthe for a reprieve. Here, she tends to a friend’s inn for the weekend, just as a major storm is set to descend on the town. As the weather worsens, the inn receives its sole guest, Dr. Paul Flanner (played by Richard Gere), who is in Rodanthe to wrestle with his own personal crisis. The weekend establishes a romantic connection between the two unhappy travelers that will affect theirs lives forever. James Franco also stars. This film is out on Sept. 12.
