The Children of Huang Shi

Based on a true story, The Children of Huang Shi depicts the epic adventure of George Hogg (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), a young British journalist who led a group of young Chinese orphans to safety during the Japanese occupation of the late 1930s. As they flee across the bitter snow-covered Liu Pan Shan mountains, Hogg develops memorable ties with a Chinese partisan leader (Chow Yun Fat), and Australian adventurer (Radha Mitchell) and and aristocratic refugee (Michelle Yeoh). Filmed in parts of China rarely captured on the big screen, The Children of Huang Shi opens May 23. Drama / History.
